Boundless adventure area "Schallenberg"

Discover the "Schallenberg" by bus! From April 29 to October 29, 2023, the new Schallenberg line will take you to the popular excursion area every weekend.

Enjoy the adventure region with lunch on the Schallenberg, a family outing, a walk along Lake Thun or explore one of the many hikes and bike trails. You can travel there and back in comfort by bus, because the journey through the beautiful Entlebuch and Emmental is worth it in itself!

The new Schallenberg line (line 252) runs from Escholzmatt to Marbach, Schangnau, Eggiwil, Röthenbach i.E. as far as Steffisburg and Thun. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, PostBus and STI offer four journeys in both directions. In Schangnau, some services offer the option of changing to line 251 to Kemmeriboden and in Röthenbach i. E. you can change once to the BLS hiking bus (line 271) to the Chuderhüsi viewing tower.

The Schallenberg development offers locals and visitors a direct connection from the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch through the Emmental to Lake Thun.
